Edge of Eternities Commander Decks UK: Buy Counter Intelligence at £43 or Pay £69 for World Shaper?
A UK buyer choosing an Edge of Eternities Commander deck has a £26 decision to make. In the November 5 snapshot, Counter Intelligence is available at £43 and World Shaper at £69. Choose Counter Intelligence if either deck would satisfy the purchase; pay more for World Shaper only if its particular decklist is the reason for buying. The premium is substantial enough to require a gameplay preference, rather than a preference for the more expensive box.[1]

The table uses the cheapest tracked in-stock offer for each product. An empty price means no in-stock offer is recorded for that row. At the snapshot generated 5 Nov 2026, 17:00, the Commander subset contains 3 products with listings, 35 listings and 21 distinct retailers. Those listings comprise 5 in stock, 0 pre-order and 30 out of stock. These are listing counts, rather than quantities of decks held by shops.
What the extra £26 actually buys
These are different decks in the same product range. Wizards lists World Shaper in black, red and green, and Counter Intelligence in blue, red and white. Each contains a ready-to-play 100-card deck, two traditional foil commanders with borderless art, 98 nonfoil cards, a Collector Booster Sample Pack and a deck box. Paying more for World Shaper therefore buys a different selection of cards and colours, rather than a larger deck or a premium edition of Counter Intelligence.[2]
The official Counter Intelligence list includes Kilo, Apogee Mind and Inspirit, Flagship Vessel as its commanders, alongside cards such as Deepglow Skate, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus and Everflowing Chalice. Wizards describes it as a counter-based deck. For someone who wants that theme, the lower price is a useful alignment of budget and taste. There is little reason to spend extra on World Shaper simply because both boxes bear the same set name.
World Shaper offers Hearthhull, the Worldseed and Szarel, Genesis Shepherd, with a list containing Splendid Reclamation, Titania, Protector of Argoth, The Gitrog Monster and Oracle of Mul Daya. Those cards give a prospective buyer concrete reasons to inspect its land-focused plan. Read the full official list before paying the difference: wanting several of its cards or its overall strategy is a stronger basis for spending £69 than assuming that a higher sealed price measures how well a deck will perform at your table.[2]

Sixteen listings are not sixteen places to buy
Counter Intelligence has 16 tracked listings in the November 5 snapshot, but only three are marked in stock: £43 at MTG Precons and £49.95 at both Chaos Cards and TierZero Games. The remaining 13 are unavailable. World Shaper has 17 listings, of which two are in stock: £69 at MTG Precons and £84.95 at Magic Madhouse. Its other 15 listings are out of stock. The two decks have similar total coverage, but fewer actual purchasing options than those headline totals suggest.[1]
Both lowest available prices come from MTG Precons, which makes the £26 comparison more useful than one assembled from an unavailable bargain and a live offer. The next tracked in-stock Counter Intelligence offer costs £6.95 more; World Shaper’s next offer costs £15.95 more. Check delivery and dispatch terms before choosing a shop. These are product prices, and a delivered total may change which offer suits a particular order.
The live comparison currently puts Counter Intelligence at £43.00 and World Shaper at £69.00, a difference of £26.00, or 60.5% of Counter Intelligence’s price. If the £43 offer disappears, compare the remaining offers again rather than treating this headline as a permanent recommendation. The Counter Intelligence product page and World Shaper product page show the latest tracked alternatives.
The £85.95 pair is a watch price
The two-deck set has a lowest tracked price of £85.95, but neither of its two listings is in stock in the November 5 snapshot. Buying the individual decks at the available £43 and £69 prices costs £112 before delivery. The £85.95 pair would be £26.05 cheaper if available at that price; today it provides a restock watch point rather than a checkout option.[1]
For someone who wants both decks and has no immediate game planned, watching that product page is sensible. A restock needs a fresh price check: an unavailable price is no promise of the next selling price. Someone who wants only Counter Intelligence has a different calculation. Spending more to obtain a second deck makes sense only if that second deck has a use. The set-of-two packaging alone does not improve a one-deck purchase.
Search interest supports comparison shopping
UK Google Trends data collected on November 5 for the preceding three months lists “commander decks” and “mtg commander decks” among the top related queries for “mtg commander deck”. That is evidence of interest in choosing Commander products, rather than a measured surge for either Edge of Eternities deck. For buyers arriving through that broad search, the useful distinction is the cost of the deck they intend to play: £43 and £69 are materially different entry prices.[3]
Edge of Eternities released on August 1, 2025, and Wizards’ product page lists its Commander decks as part of the established range.[4] This purchase can therefore start with published decklists and available offers. A buyer can decide which strategy appeals before committing money, then check whether the current retailer price is acceptable. There is no need to choose between the two based on incomplete previews.
Choose the list, then set the spending limit
Counter Intelligence is the stronger budget choice for a buyer who likes both lists equally. At £43, it leaves £26 unspent compared with World Shaper. Keep that saving until actual games show whether any changes are wanted; buying upgrades before trying the deck can turn the cheaper purchase into a larger commitment. Its official counter-based theme gives a clear starting point for deciding whether it fits the games you enjoy.
World Shaper remains a reasonable deliberate purchase for someone who specifically wants its commanders and card selection. The relevant question is whether that preference is worth the additional £26 to you. Its price does not establish a £26 advantage in card value, power or resale proceeds. Buyers interested in a few particular cards should compare those singles separately before paying for a complete sealed deck.
The practical choice is to compare Counter Intelligence first, reserve World Shaper for a clear preference, and watch the pair only when both decks are wanted. The current combined in-stock price is £112.00; an unavailable pair should not draw a buyer into spending that amount unnecessarily. Recheck stock and the final delivered total on the product pages before ordering, especially where only two or three tracked offers remain.
