MTG Bloomburrow Commander Deck Prices in the UK: Buy £44.99 Family Matters or Avoid the £114-£136 Chase Precons?

Boostermage Editorial10 min read

Bloomburrow Commander pricing is no longer a simple question of which deck has the nicest theme. In the current UK snapshot, Family Matters is the only named single-deck row below £50, with a best tracked in-stock price of £44.99. The other three single decks are clustered much higher: Peace Offering and Squirreled Away are each tracked from £114.00, while Animated Army starts at £136.00[5].

That split is the useful buyer signal. Wizards' own Bloomburrow product page treats the Commander decks as one product type: ready to play out of the box, each with three foil legendary creature cards[2]. The decklist article then identifies four decks arriving for the same August 2, 2024 release: Animated Army, Family Matters, Peace Offering, and Squirreled Away[3]. The official source does not make Family Matters a smaller product. Today's market does.

Google Trends data gives the comparison a current reason to exist. In the Great Britain sealed-product query set generated on 12 Sept 2026, 08:07, "mtg commander deck" recorded the highest three-month aggregate among the tracked sealed terms, ahead of "mtg secret lair", "mtg collector booster", and "mtg booster box"[1]. The related-query list was not a Bloomburrow-specific breakout; it was a broader Commander signal. That matters because a UK buyer searching Commander decks today can compare an older 2024 precon against newer lines rather than paying the first chase price they see.

Across the Bloomburrow Commander scope, Boostermage tracks 5 products with listings, 61 total listing rows, and 21 retailers. The listing-status split is 7 in stock, 0 pre-order, and 54 out of stock[5]. This is a thin live market rather than a deep restock. The old £35-ish rows still visible in the listing history are mostly sold-out rows; the live decision is whether the cheapest current stock is acceptable.

Family Matters has 12 tracked listings, but only 2 of those are currently in stock[5]. That is enough to make the £44.99 row real, but not enough to assume it will sit there indefinitely. The better conclusion is narrower: if a buyer wants a ready-to-play Bloomburrow Commander deck and is not fixed on one exact strategy, Family Matters is the only Bloomburrow single whose current tracked price still resembles a normal precon purchase.

The chase decks need a different test. Peace Offering costs £69.01 more than Family Matters at the best tracked prices, Squirreled Away costs £69.01 more, and Animated Army costs £91.01 more[5]. Those gaps are large enough to buy another in-stock Commander deck from many other product lines. A player who specifically wants Ms. Bumbleflower, Hazel, or Bello may accept that premium; a buyer trying to maximise sealed Commander value should not treat the four Bloomburrow decks as interchangeable at current prices.

The Set Of Four Is Not A Clean Escape

The obvious workaround is the Bloomburrow Commander Decks Set of 4. Its best tracked in-stock price is £237.95, compared with £408.99 for the four named singles at their current best tracked prices[5]. That makes the complete set cheaper by £171.04 on a simple basket comparison.

The set row is useful, but only for a buyer who genuinely wants all four decks. It has 7tracked listings and a best-price status of In Stock[5]. Its per-deck arithmetic is appealing beside the £114-£136 singles, but the cash outlay is still more than five Family Matters copies at today's best tracked price. For a playgroup dividing the decks, the set can be rational. For a single buyer trying one Bloomburrow precon, it turns a price problem into a larger purchase.

There is no fresh Wizards announcement that changes the Bloomburrow deck contents or release status today. The announcements page is currently led by newer items around Reality Fracture and The Zeta Set, neither of which changes the supply of these 2024 Bloomburrow precons[4]. That leaves the buying decision where it should be: live UK stock, visible retailer depth, and the buyer's need for a specific deck.

What To Do At These Prices

The practical answer is segmented. Buy Family Matters at around £44.99 if the deck appeals and the retailer row is still live when checked. It is the only Bloomburrow Commander single in the current snapshot that leaves room for sleeves, upgrades, or another budget deck without turning a precon purchase into a collector premium. Do not buy it merely because the other three are expensive; buy it because the price is sensible for a ready deck.

Treat Peace Offering, Squirreled Away, and Animated Army as want-list purchases, not generic Commander recommendations. The current prices are defensible only when the specific commander, colour pair or trio, or deck theme is the reason for the purchase. A buyer who is indifferent between Bloomburrow decks gets the same sealed product structure from Family Matters for far less cash. A buyer who is not attached to Bloomburrow at all should compare the wider Commander shelf before paying a three-figure single-deck price.

The cleanest rule is therefore simple: Family Matters is buyable while it remains near £44.99; the £114-£136 singles need a personal deck-choice justification; and the set of four is a group or completion purchase, not a shortcut for value. The snapshot does not say the chase decks are bad products. It says their current UK prices have moved well beyond the baseline precon decision.
